Abu Dhabi, June 22 , 2023/ The Organizing Committee of the World Mixed Martial Arts Championship for Juniors, headed by Brigadier Mohammed bin Dalmouk Al Dhaheri, Chairman of the Mixed Martial Arts Committee and First Vice President of the Asian Mixed Martial Arts Federation, reviewed the latest preparations and arrangements for hosting the championship in the capital, Abu Dhabi, during the period from August 2-5.
This came during the meeting held today at the headquarters of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation, headed by Brigadier Mohammed bin Dalmouk Al Dhaheri, and attended by Mohammed Al Hosani, a member of the committee, along with a number of officials from the UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation, reviewed the preparations for the championship, registration dates, the extent of international interest in being at the heart of the event, and partnerships with entities that play a fundamental role in the success of the event in light of expectations of wide participation from the world’s most prominent players.
His Excellency Brigadier Mohammed bin Dalmouk Al Dhaheri confirmed that preparations to host the major event are proceeding at full speed according to the plan approved by the organizing committee, pointing to the close cooperation between the Federation and its partners in the framework of the endeavor to present an exceptional championship that reflects Abu Dhabi’s ability to dazzle the world and consolidates its position as a global capital of mixed martial arts.
He explained that the UAE and the capital Abu Dhabi will be ready in the coming few weeks to receive the delegations participating in the tournament and provide them with all the facilities to present the event in the best possible way, as an extension of the remarkable success achieved by the previous edition, which made Abu Dhabi a model to be emulated in professional organization according to the highest international quality standards, as recognized by the International Federation of the game and all the participating delegations.
The Mubadala Arena Junior World Championships, hosted for the second year in a row from August 2-5, 2023, will witness four days of intense competition between the rising generation of elite mixed martial arts athletes in three age groups, and multiple weight categories for boys and girls.
The tournament’s organizing committee confirmed that 21 countries have confirmed their participation in the competitions to date, and that the coming period will certainly witness more interest in registering to participate in this huge event, and that the number of players expected to participate is close to 500 players from different countries of the world . The most prominent countries that have confirmed their participation are the UAE, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Estonia, Bulgaria, Ireland, Ukraine , Tajikistan, Bahrain, South Africa, and the United States of America
